Well I've learned a lot lately that life is all about making mistakes whether they are big ones or small ones. You just need to keep pressing on and learning from your past. While I was on Pinterest today I found a few things that just seemed to fit what I was needing to hear.
I guess that is what is keeping me back is my past. I am letting my past dictate my future rather than the present dictate the future. So here is a list of the things I have learned from the past and I will keep on keeping on.
1. Go to bed early. Nothing good comes out of being tired.
2. Don't procrastinate anything. I have found it best to do something the instant it pops into your head.
3. The Dork is always better than The Hottie. Prince Charming was a Dork didn't you know? The Dork will treat you with the respect you deserve.
4. Being yourself will always get you ahead of the game... even if it seems like you are behind.
5. Always speak your mind, even when your opinion won't be the popular one.
6. Never forget that God's hand is in EVERYTHING. Trust in Him with all you are.
7. Love and respect yourself always. The way you treat yourself is the way others will treat you as well.
8. Study even when it feels like it will be useless.
9. Don't be afraid to say no even when you don't want to. People will take advantage of a door mat.
10. Always find time on the people and things you love. Don't forget your true friends and always develop your talents.

Going Green
Wow two posts in one day! I must be on a roll... or really bored.... anyways... I forgot to update everyone that I found out where I want to do my internship! I really love the environment and all the save the planet type stuff and so I figured I might as well make a career out of what I love. So with that being said; EPA here I come!
Some may think I am getting a little fanatic about "going green", but the problem is people don't notice if you're a moderate. Although I'm not going to be a crazy hippie about it I do plan on upping how "green" I am. I decided if I forget to bring my reusable bags to the grocery store I either carry out what I have without bags or put it all back and walk home to get my reusable bags. I figure inconveniencing myself a few times I will remember to bring them to the store with me.
I am also really trying to commit to food that uses less waste... so basically cutting back on canned and bagged foods. I am even considering backing my own bread... I may not be able to do that all the time, but my goal is to do it at least once a month.
It's actually becoming a lot easier to live a more eco-friendly life. Tons of companies *cough* *couch* (Melaleuca) are even making concentrated cleaning products that use ingredients that are safe for the environment and your home. They even carry a disinfectant (sol-u-guard botanical) approved by the EPA to be non-harmful for the earth. They also sell laundry detergent that is 6x concentrated (Melapower) so basically your cutting back on the amount of water that is being shipped around. One 48oz bottle gets you 96 loads of laundry done. Another thing that really impressed me is all their packing and shipping materials are recyclable materials and plant based products and they actually use soy and vegetable oil based inks for their catalog printing. My point being is there are plenty of ways to go green that are affordable, you just need to look for them.
I really should write more often.
So it's official.... I'm going to Colorado to visit BECCA!!! Wahoo. I am so stoked for the trip. I really need to get out of Rexburg and do something cool and I've heard Colorado is BEAUTIFUL not to mention I must spend some time with Becca's family. I feel like I know them and we've only met once 2 years ago for 5 minutes. So that is currently the most exciting thing going on with my life.
Anywhos that's about all for now. I hope you enjoyed this post ♥

Mr. Blue Sky
Mr Blue Sky please tell us why
You had to hide away for so long
Where did we go wrong?
You had to hide away for so long
Where did we go wrong?
- Electric Light Orchestra
Well today was actually a super sunny warm day in Rexburg. Days like this need to be treasured because they are rare and anyone who lives here is fully aware of that. I finally had the opportunity to go to Porter Park and lay out in the sun after making gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches for my roomies and guess what?! You guessed it; the sun disappeared behind a bunch of clouds and about a half hour later it started pouring down rain! Oh Rexburg, your weather is just too unpredictable for me. Someday I will be back in the Golden State where my heart resides : ) (AKA California)
So before I leave I just wanted to say how much I loved this Postsecret : ) This really is me in a photograph and a secret. I will never be the Molly Mormon that the culture of my church may expect... Let me point that out again the CULTURE not the religion, not the church leadership and not God. I will never be able to back a pie while sewing an entire new wardrobe, mending holes in my 10 children's clothing (goodness I wont even have that many) while doing the laundry with my toes. It just isnt possible to do that and NO ONE is like that. Those who put on the whole Molly Mormon front are often times (but not always fake) So I am real and I will always be real : )

Scones & Wisdom Teeth
Yesterday I made some very delicious scones courtesy of THIS website. I altered the recipe just a bit due to the fact I was missing a few ingredients but they turned out tasty. The first batch turned out a bit burnt on the bottom but the second turned out perfect : ) Well I was planning on posting up a photo, but my computer is currently not reading my memory card... so I guess that will go up later. Anywhos my roommates loved the scones and ate them up.
Today I got my wisdom teeth pulled. It actually went a lot smoother than I thought it would! I was pretty dang high... most of the day I slept... and when I was awake I don't really remember it. Before I fell asleep to get my teeth pulled at I was really nervouse and worried I was going to be in a lot of pain after. I was REALLY wishing that Bryan was there with me, which obviously was not an option. When they started working on getting the IV in my arm Is This Love by Bob Marley came on. When Bry and I fist started dating he made this song my ring tone when I called him. When I asked him one day if he had a ring tone for me he was WAY embarrassed to let me know. Anyways the song calmed me right down and stopped the small tears that were escaping from my eyes. Here is a video of myself in the car when Josh picked me up.

The lovely Miss Becca came by with lots of goodies for me to eat which was extremely nice of her and really made my day : ) It is going to be such a blast rooming with her again in the fall! I have really been blessed today for not being in a lot of pain and for having a great friend and roomies to take care of me! Thanks Heavenly Father : ) You are awesome!

Catfish

So today I watched Catfish with the ever so lovely Miss Katie. Really gets you thinking about who you are friends with on Facebook. If I havent talked to someone in a few months on facebook they usually get deleted... unless I have known them for a long time. One of my ex boyfriends actually stalked me on facebook when I thought he hadn't been using his account. I'm sure we all know who that was haha. Oh Katie and I made tacos tonight : ) Ohhh they were sooo yummy. I am just up now trying to not be so pathetic.
It's hard only being able to communicate with Bryan via snail mail. I sent off letters #35-40 yesterday. Yes that's right 40 letters. It's been 2 weeks since I last got a letter from him. I really should move on with my life a little faster. It's hard missing my other half, but things will work out how they will.
Last couple day's I have been fighting off blowing all my money on clothes. I would regret it as soon as I did it, but I have just been in such a shopping mood. I will be most likely be going to school next semester so I need to save EVERYTHING I can now. No scholarships or grants if I go to school in the spring, but if I am careful I can make it work. : ) I have been spending the last couple hours listening to pandora, link tripping on stumble upon and editing photos on picknic.com.
Work tomorrow from 12-5 and then monday will be fun running around town taking pictures with the ever so lovely Josh, who's friend just so happens to be companions with Bryan. It will be a good Mondy.
I guess thats all for now! A plus tard! (Untill later in french in case you didn't know)
